Friday Focus: Bouncing Back

Hey guys and gals!

It's been forever and a day since I last posted but I wanted to check in here. It's just so much easier to type out on a laptop rather than my phone. Not that I don't love connect, but sometimes when I know I have a lot to say, this is a much better format.

Way back when I was a regular blogger, I did a Monday Weigh-In, Wednesday Weekly, and Friday Fitness. It made since because my meetings were on Tuesday nights, I would write about the meeting topic on Wednesdays.

Now my meetings are on Friday afternoons... so writing about the weekly meeting topic on Fridays makes more sense these days.

I will probably not do this often. Every time I think "I can start blogging again!" life gets in the way.

But for today the weekly topic is Bounce Back!

Sorry, I just had to bring out my love of all things 90's!

Here's my take on making mistakes and bouncing back:

Weight Watchers is kind of like baseball - except in Weight Watchers you can't pitch a perfect game. It's a lifestyle. The goal is to be a lifetime member! And it's just not possible to be perfect every single day for the rest of your life. It's just not, so we have to get over that really fast. BUT, if you keep showing up for practice, and you keep getting off the bench to play, you'll win the game eventually.

Remember that every meal is a chance for success. You may have "failed" your last meal (or two, or twenty!) but that doesn't mean that your next meal can't be successful.

I've also learned as a teacher that success begets success. Meaning that when a student sees success, they are more likely to continue trying, learning and taking risks. It's the same for us in Weight Watchers. When we are successful, it's really easy to build on that and keep going.

So, if you haven't been successful, go make your next meal a good one. Even if you're out of points for the day, make your next meal one that would make your Weight Watcher's leader proud. Or, more important, make your next meal one that would make you proud. Give yourself a good, healthy meal and feel good about yourself! Just get off the bench and get back in the game!

I may come back here later to add on anything I heard at my meeting that stands out to me, but if I don't, have a great weekend, stay on target and see you on Monday for weigh in!
