Monday Weigh-In/Weekend Confession: Memorial Day Edition

Good morning! Yes, I'm a day late, but the weekend was a day longer! Thank you to all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedoms.

It was a rough weekend for me (more on that in the Weekend Confession) and I definitely have had better moments as a Weight Watcher.

But let's own this and move on...

Last week (Monday): 128.3
This week (Tuesday): 131.0
Difference: + 2.7
Maintenance: Stinking up the joint...

Ouch.

I was doing awesome! I was listening to Fatdag's podcast on the daily and keeping focused. I was tracking, staying in my daily points most days, using my weekly points wisely (for wine of course!).

Friday morning, the first day of the holiday weekend I weighed in at 127. Three pounds from being back where I like to be. I was on top of the world and feeling awesome.

Then, the weekend kicked in and two things happened - I drank too much and lost my focus, and then I got sick and turned to comfort foods.

So Bless Me Jean Nidetch for I have gone off program!

Friday was lunch and dinner at a friends house. Salad and bottle of wine for lunch. Pizza for dinner.

Saturday was playing Dungeons and Dragons in my friend's basement (don't judge me!) all day with cookies and more wine (and being that we were sitting around - very little activity), followed by more pizza for dinner.

Sunday was BBQ at a friend's house with lots of chips and dip appetizers, lots of beer, and more bad food choices (at least I had the watermelon for dessert!)

Monday I woke up feeling like crap - sore throat, stuffy nose, coughing... So I ate an entire box of mac and cheese for lunch, three scoops of real ice cream (for my sore throat, of course) and Chinese food for dinner. Plus I stayed on the couch most of the day. (Though I did finally get to see Trolls! - cute movie!).

So as you can see - this weekend was a WW disaster. Now, I did enjoy myself, but in reflection I wonder if I could've enjoyed myself without over doing it on the food and drinking end of things. Probably.

But, today is a new day. I'm back to being focused, back to tracking, and hopefully back to getting some activity in. I'll be starting to pack up my room soon enough so that will be lots of activity there. Just gotta keep the focus going on. That's the key.
