Tea Time!

Well, this week and weekend has certainly been a challenge for me.

This past week my DH was away on business (Thank goodness he's home! I miss him when he's away!)

And when I'm on my own I tend to have a hard time sleeping.  So what do I do? I have a glass of wine (or two!) after dinner to mellow out before bed.

I could very easily be an alcoholic ;o)

So my points were probably going to go over board just from that.  But I was tracking and doing okay with it.

Then yesterday, I only tracked part of the day and fell off the wagon.  I can estimate what I had (ish) but I didn't measure the wine in any way shape or form!

And today was tea time! A day of sandwiches (which I do try to use reduced fat ingredients when possible) and cake and scones and whipped cream and cookies.

Sigh...

And to make matters worse, I forgot to weigh in this morning.  So I'm not sure what the Saturday night damage was or what today's damage will be.

I guess I can take the difference between Saturday morning and Monday and figure it's the average between the two disasters! LOL

Oh, and did I mention that we're probably going out with friends for dinner tonight? Eating out always means big calories :P

So, if I have even a little loss after this challenging week, I'll be satisfied.  If I break even I'll be satisfied. And if I gain, I'll be unsurprised.

But I read some where a great quote:

You're only as off track as your next choice.

So what will my next choice be?  I will make it a good one.  Maybe not a perfect one, but a good one.  One that will make me feel better about the past two days and the past week.

What will you choose to do next?

On the positive end of things, I did keep my workout schedule this week.  I worked out six days out of seven and on my "rest" day I got some shoveling snow activity in there!

Yeah, more snow.  This winter is sucking really bad so far!

So that's my week.  I learned something about myself.
