New Points Plus!

Okay - so I'm of the "change is good" camp.
I think change forces you to think, and forces you to improve yourself.  Change makes you a better person by persevering through the challenge and making your life better.

That being said:

I FREAKIN LOVE THE NEW WEIGHT WATCHERS PoinsPlus PROGRAM!

It makes so much more sense than the old program.  It is SO much more flexible than the old program.  It is so much more satisfying than the old program.

And yes, oh yes, FRUIT IS FREE!

[Insert funky dance moves here]

Oh yeah, uh huh, oh yeah, uh huh (This is what I sing to myself as I'm slicing my ZERO PointsPlus banana into my cereal in the morning)

I really do love the changes they've made.  Now, it's been a tough week for me weight maintenance wise - I had my office Christmas party on Thursday and my TOM begins tomorrow (yeah, there's always at least a half a pound gain there - thanks a lot mother nature).  BUT I weighed in on Monday at 126.  I weighed in this morning at 124.  Including some ups and downs this week I'm still two pounds lighter than I was when I started counting my points differently.

Yup. Two pounds total in 6 days. And I had two drinks and a lot of food at the office Christmas party on Thursday.  (Which I haven't officially tracked yet.  For the time being I just took the points I had for the day, plus the points I had for the week and used the "QuickTrack" feature to just log 45 points in one shot.  I have to sit down in a bit and try to record everything I think I remember eating so that I can try to maybe track it correctly.  I may be more over points than I think...

Overall I think this is the best thing Weight Watchers has ever done and I've been around for 10 1/2 years now.  And I'm excited to see what happens over the coming weeks.  The holiday season is always a challenge but I think - no, I KNOW - I have the tools to get through it.

Now, if only my new FIRM Express workouts would ship already!!

I did get one of the new Retail workouts - Coretoner Plus, which I did today.  It's only 20 minutes so I added it on to Rock It Off express.

The DVD states "Core and Lower Body Workout" but it really did incorporate a lot of upper body as well.  Biceps, Triceps, Lat Rows and Pushups were all included.  Squats, dips, and abductions for the lower body.  Boat, crunches and some standing exercises for the abs.  All in all a fun little work out - not particularly challenging, but good for an addition on those days you want an extra 20 minute push (much like the 20 minute power sculpt dvd that came with the green stick).

My weighted gloves workout is on it's way but the tracking # is not showing anything other than that the shipping info was received so I don't know how soon I'll get it.  I'd be willing to bet that I have it by Wednesday at the latest though.

I may be posting here more often.  I've made a social network vow of silence.  I've logged off of Facebook and Twitter for now.  I'm definitely going to stay logged off for the weekend.  I may try to go the whole week.

Truth is there hasn't been much good out there these days and I haven't had much to say that I felt like sharing as a status update.

However, I think that here (and maybe my other blog) might be a good place to get some thinking done. These days the new WW plan has been heavy on my mind and I find that I'm really more active on the WW boards than I used to be.

So, that being everything I'll be going...
