The more they stay the same...
Well, my weight has, actually. Three days in a row - no fluctuation whatsoever. Weird, huh? I've had days when my weight is the same twice in a row, but not three. So when I stepped on the scale this morning I was expecting a change.
Not so much...
I've also been using the body fat/hydration/muscle mass feature on the scale daily but those numbers seem weird to me. Not sure why but my body fat seems to fluctuate a lot - I'm not really doing all that much that's different, so I'm not sure why that is. My hydration seems to stay pretty much the same, as does my muscle mass...
Maybe I should only look at those numbers once a week. That might give me a better idea of trends in those areas.
So this morning I got up and did my fav workout: Bootcamp Maximum Calorie Burn :)
I love this one!
It's funny though, I used to find it so challenging, and now I find it to be pretty easy. I use the heavier weights for this one (5, 8 and 10) and I incorporated ALL of the high impact moves and plyometrics, and I kept up with it just fine.
That's a good thing, right? I attribute that to Sensei Bobby and his kickboxing insanity. Keeping up with him make me want to pass out and throw up (mostly figuratively, but sometimes literally! LOL), but if you don't push yourself when you most want to give up, then you'll never improve or get stronger.
As far as food, I've been doing well. I'm working on cutting back on my sugar intake, but so far I've felt obligated to finish all of the sugary food that I have around the house. Especially the things I know that Darrin won't eat. Like the flavored instant oatmeal...
Still, I think I'm pretty good with the sugar. I have to start reading food labels more carefully. AHA recommends no more than 24 grams per day. I had about 13 in my flavored oatmeal this morning. I forgot to check the label on my hummus... That might have some added sugar that I don't know about.
Not sure yet what's for dinner, but sugar is probably not going to be included. I don't use a whole lot of processed stuff when I cook.
As predicted, yesterday I went home and took a nap, so I didn't defrost my chicken thighs, or clean the grill, or stop at the supermarket for corn on the cob. So I just basically made tuna sandwiches with some melted cheese on a bagel thin. My at home, low-fat version of the tuna melts I used to get at the local diner when I was a fatty fat fat.
So that's it for today. Can't wait for the long weekend. Ahhhhh, summer! Can't wait for it to finally be here! After Memorial Day I have only 19 teaching days left! June is going to fly by and I am only 6 pounds away from what I think is my ideal bikini weight! I will DEFINITELY do it! Gotta call the spa at lunch for my first spray tan of the season as well :)
Ok, really that's it! Till tomorrow!
