The first week back from a vacation always seems to drag on!
But I did get right back into a routine of healthy eating and exercise. I'm not exactly following a total clean eating program but I am limiting myself to clean eating for the whole day with the exception of my evening tea time where I enjoy one cookie or mini treat with a one or two point value.
My mother in law baked a tray of cookies for my hubby's birthday last week. I put them in the freezer so that I am not looking at them and being tempted. Plus I know if I allow myself one a night I won't indulge during the day cause I know it's comin later!
Been working out all week as well. Skipped Sunday (because I was just too exhausted from traveling plus I had about five loads of laundry and a lot of cleaning to catch up on so I did get some activity there!) but every other morning this week I got up at 5 and did my thing.
This morning was Get Chisle'd. It's not a bad one. Not really my favorite though - it's weights alternating with plyo sets. I prefer more dance or step styles for the cardio intervals, but it definitely works up a good sweat!
So as of today I am weighing less than when I left before vacation. In fact I am at my lowest weight in a while. I am officially two pounds away from not having to give weight watchers my money anymore!
I still haven't pulled my old pants out of the closet yet. I think I'd like to be back in the 120's before I even remotely attempt to pull the size 2 pants over my ass. Unfortunately, the size 6's I bought when I weighed 142 are getting way too loose. But the size two's are tight. And I don't want to spend money to buy size 4's.
Ah well, time will get me there.
I have a couple of challenges this weekend - Saturday night we are probably eating out. I want to see a movie and of course it's only playing in the city so we will have a nice night out. And then Sunday my mother in law wants to come over and cook dinner for us to celebrate hubby's birthday. His birthday meal of choice? Kelbasa (sp?). Every year that's what he wants for dinner on his bday. I can't complain much because it's only once a year, but still... Sigh... I can't think of anything worse to eat right now.
I think I will take control of the dessert end though. I have a great reduced calorie recipe for coconut cream pie (hubby's favorite dessert!) that I can make and it is really quite tasty!
So that's all I got for today! I am starting to finally feel like I'm back in control! Kick boxing tomorrow! I'll check in then!
