New Format

So, I'm changing up what I do with this blog.

I'm probably not as interesting as other bloggers I read, but I want to make this blog a more consistent place to talk about my Weight Watchers lifestyle as a life time member attempting to maintain my loss.

A bit of history:

I joined WW in Jan 2000. I reached goal in May and lifetime in June of that year.  In the past 11 years I have been mostly at goal, most of the time.

There are instances when I have gained back as much as 20 pounds for a year or so.  Lose it again. Gain it again...

So I'm hoping that a more consistent blogging effort will also help me to stay on track.  Maybe if I have an audience (or a perceived audience since no one is following this) that will help me to stay accountable.

That being said, I have decided on a few weekly topics I'd like to address consistently...

My week starts on Monday.  It always has.  My first weigh in day was a Monday and I've always like that day of the week.  So Monday mornings will serve as my Weigh In/Weekend Confessional blog post.  However, I no longer go to meetings on Mondays, so my weight will be from my home scale (which has been pretty close to the one at my WW center anyway).

I go to meetings on Tuesdays now.  Years ago when I was in graduate school I had to switch my meetings from Mondays to Tuesdays due to my course schedule.  I fell in love with my Tuesday leader and I made so many great friends in that meeting that I never left!  So Tuesday night I will go to my meeting and Wednesday will be my blog post regarding the weekly topic at the WW meeting.

And then I think my last consistent topic I'd like to address is Fitness.  About 7 years ago I discovered and fell in love with The FIRM so that's my main workout.  But I do try to get in other kinds of activity when I can... So I think I'll have a Friday Fitness post to talk about all things exercise.

That will make Mon, Wed, and Fri consistent blog days. Tues and Thur I'll blog only if I have something interesting I want to talk about that doesn't fit in with the other days.  For example, if I happen to read an interesting article on nutrition or something to that effect.
