Detox

Yup.  That's right. Since my post on Monday I made the decision to go on a 7 day detox this week.

One week of clean eating - no alcohol, no sugar, minimal processed food - plus, one week of detox supplement from Arbonne.

Check it out here!

The 7 day meal plan I got from FIRM direct - but you can't access that link unless you're a paid member.

But the plan is easy and the food is fresh! The calories are around 1400 as planned, but I add a little and modify a little so that it fits me better.

It's also supposed to be caffeine free, but if I quit caffeine I get migraines so that's out! The morning cup of joe stays!

Also, I add a banana each night in place of my usual tea and 100 calorie cake.  The plan doesn't include bananas, but I have an evening ritual that signals it's time for bed.  I have a cup of tea, and something sweet.  So, like I said, I make modifications to suit me.

So far I'm down 4.8 pounds from Monday morning.  Monday wasn't a "detox" day, though I did eat pretty healthfully on Monday.  So I'm down 2.4 since I officially began the detox.

I think I may need to cheat on Saturday though - I think I'll have to have some bread, butter and sea salt along with some wine.  It's a special night for me and the hubs :o)  But, I'll still cook something healthy.  Probably the detox menu (Dijon Honey Pork Chops, String Beans and Mashed Potatoes).

We shall see.  Tonight I'm making dinner and the we are going out to a movie.  We both want to see the new Natalie Portman/Ashton Kutcher movie.  It's a romantic comedy but it looks cute.

So that's the current update.  So far, feeling good about being back in control.

I'll be sure to check in and update about the rest of the detox.

Till next time...
